SECTOR  Residential, Commercial

CLIENT  Tesco

Devonshire Partnership was appointed to monitor the re-development of this iconic building for Tesco in order to protect their interests.

The Hoover Building is a Grade II* listed building of Art Deco architecture designed by Wallis, Gilbert and Partners located in Perivale, London. Tesco owned the property and sold the listed part to a developer who wished to convert the building into residential accommodation whilst still retaining their superstore to the rear.

The works involved the refurbishment and conversion of the Hoover Building 1 to accommodate 66 residential apartments comprising 18 studios, 23 one-bedroom, 25 two-bedroom flats, together with associated car parking and refuse storage.

Devonshire Partnership successfully protected Tesco’s interests during the works including working with the sound engineers to ensure that the required sound separation standard was achieved between the superstore and the residential accommodation.
