SECTOR  Leisure

CLIENT  Bow Street Hotel

Devonshire Partnership acted as party wall surveyor for the iconic Bow Street Magistrates Court.

Devonshire Partnership was delighted to act as party wall surveyor regarding Bow Street Magistrates Court, one of the most famous magistrates' court in England and the home of the Bow Street Runners, London's first, professional police force. Many famous accused people have passed through this Magistrates Court including General Pinochet, Oscar Wilde and the Kray twins.

Our client developed the building into a bespoke hotel and a world police museum, while maintaining the facade of the old court building.

Working as an intrinsic member of the team, Devonshire Partnership provided party wall consultancy services for the building owner and successfully negotiated and agreed party wall awards with a number of sensitive and high-profile adjoining owners. This allowed the project work to be completed without delaying the construction programme.
